As we celebrate 140 years of Avon, we take this opportunity to honour Women’s History Month this March. Since 1886, Avon has been committed to empowering women to reach their full potential. This month, we reflect on the countless women who have built our community and continue to inspire us every day — from mothers and friends to our dedicated Avon Ambassadors. These women strengthen their communities by building meaningful connections and giving back. They make bold choices to pursue financial independence, support their families and share what they love. Together, they uplift one another and prove that when women support women, they are unstoppable. 

Avon’s legacy has been shaped by such trailblazing women as Mrs. P.F.E. Albee, a 50-year-old wife and mother of two, who became the first "Avon Lady" (now known as "Avon Ambassador"), and Kathrine Switzer, the first woman to officially run the Boston Marathon back in 1967. Switzer later partnered with Avon to launch the Avon International Running Circuit, helping pave the way for the inclusion of the Women’s Marathon in the 1984 Olympic Games. Her courage and determination opened doors for generations of women. Earlier this year, we were proud to partner with Switzer again to present Avon Ambassadors with an exclusive screening of her documentary, Tough Old Broads, followed by a live Q&A session with Switzer herself.   

Our Beautiful Legacy Continues 
To this day, Avon remains steadfast in its mission to help women achieve their goals through the Beauty of Sharing. Female empowerment is ingrained in the company’s roots, culture, business model, causes and partnerships that prioritize the well-being of women. Avon is currently partnering with Feed the Children, an organization that works to improve nutrition, hygiene and education in vulnerable communities around the world. We also support Gyrl Wonder in its mission to drive social impact and advance career development for young women of colour.  

At our core, we are a beauty business dedicated to helping women make a beautiful impact on the world. Today and every day, we celebrate the countless Avon Ambassadors, associates and community members who shape our past, present and future—and we honour them not just this month, but always.
