What is it?
Washing your face with two cleansers. Typically, the first one is an oil-based cleanser that is then followed by a water-based one. Double cleansing can be helpful if your regular cleanser isn't removing enough excess oil.
Why do it?
To remove layers of makeup and sunscreen first and clear the way for your regular cleanser.
When to do it?
Mostly at night when accumulated makeup and sunscreen need to be removed. In the morning, wash with your regular cleanser. An exception may be made for very oily skin.
Which skin types?
- Normal to oily.
- Breakout-prone.
- Subjected to full makeup.
